Unidentified Man Found in Chattahoochee River; Douglas County Authorities Seek Public’s Help

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was discovered in the Chattahoochee River near 375 Riverside Parkway in mid-May.
The deceased is described as a white male with several distinct tattoos, including the initials “SL” on his upper left arm, a phrase in Sanskrit on his outer left arm, and a full-back tattoo with an unclear image. Additional tattoos were also observed on his torso and upper body. Authorities also noted the man is missing three of his upper front teeth.
Due to the condition of the remains, identification has been challenging. Investigators believe the man may have recently experienced homelessness and could have been living in or traveling through the Douglas, Cobb, or Fulton County areas.
Anyone with information that could assist in identifying the individual is urged to contact Investigator Nicole Womack at 678-486-1307 or nwomack@sheriff.douglas.ga.us.
