Over $500K in Meth Seized, Two Convicted Felons Arrested in Muscogee County Drug Bust

A multi-agency drug investigation led to the seizure of over $500,000 worth of methamphetamine and the arrest of two convicted felons in Muscogee County on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Investigators with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, in collaboration with the Muscogee County Collaborative Intelligence Group, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the DEA Special Response Team, executed multiple search warrants across the county.
As a result of the operation, William Jones and Larry Almay were taken into custody and charged as follows:
William D. Jones
• Trafficking Methamphetamine – 6 counts
Larry Almay
• Trafficking Methamphetamine – 4 counts
Authorities seized the following during the searches:
• 5.3 kilograms of methamphetamine (estimated street value: $506,520)
• $20,190.56 in U.S. currency
• Four motorcycles
• One boat
• Three motor vehicles
• One scooter
Jones and Almay were booked into the Muscogee County Jail without incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
