One Dead, Two Juveniles Injured in Cordele Shooting on South 12th Street

A Thursday evening shooting in Cordele left one man dead and two juveniles injured, prompting a joint investigation by local and state authorities.

On June 19, 2025, just before 7:00 p.m., Cordele Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of South 12th Street. Upon arrival, officers located two male victims—one an adult who was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other a juvenile, who was transported by EMS to Crisp Regional Hospital.

Later, investigators learned of a third victim, also a juvenile, who sustained a gunshot wound. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Cordele Police Investigations Division were called in to process the scene. The investigation remains active.
