Man Killed, Woman Injured in Late-Night Shooting at Norcross Motel

Gwinnett County Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred late Tuesday night at the Horizon Inn and Suites located at 6187 Dawson Boulevard in Norcross, GA. Officers from the West Precinct responded to the scene at approximately 11:47 p.m. on June 17 after receiving a call about a person shot.

Upon arrival, officers found a 29-year-old male, identified as Andre Jones of Norcross, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Gwinnett County Police Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the location and began canvassing the area and collecting evidence.

During the investigation, detectives identified a second victim from the shooting—a female with a gunshot wound to the leg. Investigators believe she was not involved in the altercation that led to the shooting.

The motive behind the incident remains unknown, and detectives continue to follow up on leads.
