Douglas County Deputies Disrupt Street Racing Event, Arrest 10

Douglas County deputies responded to a report of approximately 15 vehicles performing burnouts at 767 Douglas Hill Rd in Lithia Springs, leading to the arrest of 10 individuals charged with Participation in Street Racing.
Upon the deputies’ arrival, two vehicles immediately fled the area, including a Dodge Charger that led deputies on a pursuit. The chase was ultimately terminated by the deputy for safety reasons.
Investigators believe the participants are associated with a car club known for filming their activities.
Following the on-scene investigation, ten individuals were charged with Participation in Street Racing. One of the arrestees also received an additional charge for Possession of a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.
The arrestees included two individuals from Douglasville, with others from Conyers, Stockbridge, Morrow, Powder Springs, Villa Rica, and Ellenwood.
