Operation Westside Wakeup Leads to Major Drug Bust, Multiple Arrests in Bibb County

A months-long investigation dubbed “Operation Westside Wakeup,” spearheaded by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit, has resulted in the arrest of several individuals tied to a large-scale drug trafficking conspiracy, including the distribution of K-2 within the Bibb County LEC and cocaine throughout the Macon area.

The investigation began in January 2025 by monitoring jail calls of Akbar Harclerode Sr., revealing a conspiracy with his girlfriend, Kierra Howard, and brother, Hassan Harclerode Sr., to distribute Schedule II (K-2) drugs inside the Bibb County LEC.

As the investigation progressed, a connection to individuals associated with the Macon Mafia Gang in the Macon Area was discovered.
