Three Arrested in Connection to Fayetteville Man’s Murder; One Charged with Homicide

Three individuals have been arrested in the murder investigation of 29-year-old Shawn Jackson Jr. of Fayetteville. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, has made the arrests.
Kimani Copeland, 21, of Manchester, Meriwether County, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and murder in connection to Jackson Jr.’s death.
Additionally, De’Qavious Copeland, 22, and Arionne Leonard, 25, both of Waverly Hall, Harris County, Georgia, were arrested and charged with hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal in connection with the death of Jackson Jr.
Kimani Copeland was initially booked into the Harris County Jail and has since been transferred to the Meriwether County Jail. De’Qavious Copeland and Arionne Leonard were booked into the Harris County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
