A DeKalb County Police Officer sustained moderate injuries early this morning, June 11, 2025, when his patrol vehicle crashed into a dump truck during a pursuit of a vehicle linked to multiple armed robberies. The suspect vehicle evaded capture, and police are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating it and the individuals involved.

The incident occurred around 12:32 a.m. when an officer initiated a pursuit of a vehicle matching the description of one connected to several armed robberies. During the chase, the officer’s vehicle collided with a stopped dump truck in the 2000 block of Glenwood Avenue. First responders quickly extricated the officer from the patrol vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries and is expected to recover. No other individuals were harmed in the collision.

The suspects’ vehicle, a white, four-door 2016 Nissan Maxima, which was stolen out of Rockdale County and bears Florida license plate DVN3211, successfully fled the scene. Witnesses described the two male occupants as wearing ski masks, black hoodies, and blue jeans.
