Georgia Probation Officer Arrested for Leaking Law Enforcement Data to Drug Suspect

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Kenneth Rankin, 52, a Georgia Department of Community Supervision officer, for allegedly leaking confidential law enforcement data to a suspect involved in a Tennessee drug investigation.
Rankin has been charged with Computer Theft and Violation of Oath of Office.
In May 2025, the Soddy Daisy Police Department in Tennessee contacted the GBI about a drug investigation originating in Hamilton County, TN.
