Elderly Cordele Man Found Dead Near Burning Truck in Crisp County
On Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office and Crisp County Fire Rescue responded to a report from Norfolk Southern regarding a vehicle fire near Exa Avenue in Cordele.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. A deceased male was located near the burning truck and was later identified as 76-year-old Larry Wayne Coleman of Cordele. His family has been notified.
Authorities stated that the incident remains under investigation, but no foul play is suspected at this time.
