Armed Robbery Suspect Sought After Daylight Hold-Up at Downtown Macon Business

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a personal armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at a downtown Macon business.

Deputies responded to a 911 call at 2:19 p.m. regarding a robbery at the 567 Center for Renewal, located at 456 First Street. According to reports, a male suspect entered the business, brandished a firearm, and forced the victim to the back of the store. The suspect then stole the victim’s phone and money before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a white graphic T-shirt with writing, a dark-colored head covering, and dark-colored shorts.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
