Macon & Eggs Military Roundtable Connects Community with National Security Leaders

On June 5, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce hosted its Macon & Eggs Military Roundtable at Central Georgia Technical College’s Aerospace Training and Sustainment Center (Robins North). The sold-out event focused on the theme “DIME in Action: Understanding National Security through a Local Lens,” exploring how Diplomacy, Information, Military, and Economic power intersect to impact both global and regional security.

Sponsored by JP Morgan Chase and supported by The Miner Agency, GIGA, Inc., and Central Georgia Technical College, the event highlighted the importance of strong public-private partnerships in Central Georgia.

Keynote speaker U.S. Air Force Retired Major General Thomas Grabowski stressed the vital connection between local communities and national security, saying, “National security is local security. Everything that happens worldwide will eventually impact the local Middle Georgia community.”

Other speakers addressed topics including information warfare, cyber threats, military readiness, and the role of economic infrastructure in defense. Attendees ranged from business leaders to educators and veterans, gaining insights into how Central Georgia supports the nation’s defense and economic strength.

Hosted at Robins North, a key training center for Robins Air Force Base, the roundtable reinforced the region’s critical role in national security and workforce development.

The Greater Macon Chamber’s Macon & Eggs series continues to serve as a platform for connecting military leaders and community members, fostering dialogue on issues shaping both local and national futures.
