Toddler Found Wandering Alone at 4 A.M. in Fort Hill Neighborhood

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a concerning call in the early morning hours after a toddler was spotted walking in the roadway of the Fort Hill neighborhood.

According to the incident report, deputies arrived around 4:00 a.m. and found a two-year-old child standing in the middle of the intersection of Maynard Circle and Maynard Street. A search of the nearby area led deputies to a home with its front door ajar. Inside, they found another juvenile and an 18-year-old asleep. The residence was confirmed to be the child’s home.

Deputies contacted the toddler’s mother by phone. She returned to the home shortly after and took custody of her child.

The incident remains under investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
