Wanted Suspect Caught in Atlanta After Felony Traffic Stop; Guns Recovered

On May 15, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., officers with the Atlanta Police Department’s A.C.E. (Aggressive Criminal Enforcement) Unit arrested a wanted suspect during a felony traffic stop on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

While patrolling the corridor in search of a known fugitive, officers spotted a white Chevy Malibu being driven by 26-year-old Sanchez Turner, who was wanted for fleeing and eluding police and theft by receiving. The vehicle was stopped along the 3000 block of MLK Jr. Drive.

Turner and two passengers were ordered out of the vehicle and detained without incident. The passengers were identified as 24-year-old Jaiden Jackson, a convicted felon with 10 prior arrest cycles, and a 15-year-old juvenile with no criminal history.

During a search of the vehicle, officers located two firearms within reach of Jackson. He was charged with false representation after giving officers a fake name, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Turner was arrested on his outstanding warrants. Both adults were transported to the Fulton County Jail.

The juvenile was released to the custody of his parents.
