Murder and Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested in April Double Shooting in Atlanta

A man wanted in connection with a deadly April shooting has been taken into custody.
On June 1, 2025, Atlanta Police were notified that 24-year-old Desmond Felts was in custody at the Clayton County Jail. Felts has been charged with Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and two counts of Armed Robbery.
The charges are related to an incident that occurred on April 18, 2025, at approximately 12:17 a.m. Officers responded to a person shot call at 70 Newcastle Street SW. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Grady EMS.
A second male victim was found on scene with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
Felts remains in custody as the investigation continues.
