49-year-old Willie Frank Raven, Jr. has been convicted by a Clayton County jury of Aggravated Sodomy and three counts of Child Molestation, District Attorney Tasha M. Mosley announced. The trial, presided over by Clayton County Superior Court Chief Judge Robert L. Mack, began on May 20, 2025, and concluded on May 29, 2025.

Evidence presented during the trial showed that Raven, the boyfriend of the victim’s aunt, began sexually abusing the victim when she was just 7 years old. The abuse came to light when the victim’s teacher intercepted a note the child was writing, leading to reports to school administration and ultimately to authorities and the victim’s mother.

District Attorney Mosley stated, “We hope this conviction brings healing and sends a clear message that we fight tirelessly for justice especially for our most vulnerable.”

Assistant District Attorney Amber H. Baker led the State’s case, with Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Jacqueline Broadnax serving as co-counsel. Major Case Investigator Khalil Rajhan and Victim Advocates Maria Dillard and Carla Dixon also played crucial roles in the prosecution.

Raven is a repeat offender that was on the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. According to the registry, he was categorized a “Sexually Dangerous Predator”. He was previously convicted on March 22, 1995 for statutory rape. He is now scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
