Wanted: Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Man for Rape in Augusta
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has issued an alert for a wanted man, 46-year-old Leland Tyrone Candidate, in connection with a rape and aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The incident took place on the 400 block of Green Street in Augusta’s Olde Town area.
Candidate is described as 6’4″ tall and weighing 200 lbs. He was last seen driving a 2006 gold Nissan Murano with South Carolina license plate 137BTU.
