Three Firefighters Injured After Fire Engine Overturns in Macon

Three Macon-Bibb County firefighters were injured Wednesday afternoon, May 29, 2025, when a fire engine overturned at the intersection of College Street and Magnolia Street.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the single-vehicle crash after it was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at approximately 5:00 p.m. Deputies arrived to find the fire engine overturned.

All three injured firefighters were transported to a local medical facility for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
