Macon Woman Arrested for Armed Robbery of Robins Financial Credit Union, Child Found Safe

A Macon woman has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of Robins Financial Credit Union that occurred at 9:08 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 4300 block of West Highland Drive after receiving a report of a person of interest at the location. Upon arrival, deputies located and apprehended 37-year-old Sidney Leshay Bryant.
Bryant was identified as the suspect involved in the commercial armed robbery. She was taken into custody and transported to Investigations Headquarters for questioning. The vehicle used during the incident was recovered, and a child connected to the case was located and confirmed to be safe.
Bryant was later transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where she faces charges of Armed Robbery, Cruelty to Children in the First Degree, and Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers. She is currently being held without bond.
