Columbus Police Officer Arrested for Burglary and Family Violence Charges

A Columbus Police officer has been arrested following a reported burglary at a residence on Chattsworth Road on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Columbus Police Officers initially responded to the burglary call and launched an investigation. The follow-up inquiry, conducted by the department’s Bureau of Investigative Services, revealed that the suspect was Officer Jonathan Robertson, 23, a member of the Columbus Police Department.

Officer Robertson has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Burglary (Family Violence)
  • Stalking (Family Violence)
  • Terroristic Threats

He has been placed on administrative leave without pay pending further investigation.

The Columbus Police Department stated that the case remains active and emphasized its commitment to transparency and accountability.
