Man Shot in the Back and Killed During Home Invasion in Lithonia; Person of Interest Sought
A deadly home invasion is under investigation after a man was shot and killed during a robbery at a residence on Rock Springs Road.
On May 16, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a male suspect armed with an assault rifle entered a home located at 5410 Rock Springs Road. Surveillance video captured the suspect and a second individual removing property from the residence and loading it into a silver SUV.
Shortly afterward, the resident emerged from the home suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. He died at the scene.
Investigators have released an image of a male person of interest who was seen at a local Walmart and may have information related to the case.
