Kingsland Police Seek Help Identifying ATM Skimming Suspects

The Kingsland Police Department has issued a Be On the Lookout (B.O.L.O.) alert and is requesting public assistance to identify two individuals believed to be placing credit card skimmers on ATMs, primarily affecting Pineland Bank customers.
Over the past week, authorities have received multiple reports from Pineland Bank customers in both Kingsland and St. Mary’s concerning fraudulent charges on their accounts. The ongoing investigation has identified two individuals, seen in ATM security footage, placing skimming devices on the machines. These individuals have been observed parking away from the bank after hours and approaching the ATMs on foot to attach the devices.
While the fraudulent activity has primarily affected Pineland Bank customers so far, the Kingsland Police Department states it is unknown if other banks’ customers are also impacted. Therefore, the department urges anyone who has recently used drive-thru or outdoor ATMs to closely monitor their bank accounts for any suspicious activity.
The Kingsland Police Department is actively collaborating with other law enforcement agencies as victims have been identified in other jurisdictions as well.
If you see these individuals, you are asked to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information related to these subjects or this ongoing investigation should contact the Kingsland Police Department and ask to speak with Investigator Gonzalez at (912) 729-8254.
