The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Christopher Martin following an investigation into multiple reports of suspicious behavior at Main St. Park and other public areas in Moultrie.

The investigation began on April 30, 2025, when the Sheriff’s Office received a tip via Facebook from a concerned citizen. The tip reported a white male in a gold Dodge truck engaging in suspicious activity at Main St. Park, including parking and making repetitive arm motions in the presence of children and adults. Similar incidents were reported after May 5, involving the same male, this time seen in a black Dodge truck. On May 19, another report placed the male back at Main St. Park in the black truck.

Investigators confirmed the gold Dodge truck was registered to a Martin subject in Moultrie, and the black Dodge truck was a rental leased to Christopher Martin at the same address. On May 20, investigators conducted surveillance at Main St. Park. After observing the black truck, they initiated an investigative stop at the intersection of 3rd St. SW and 5th Ave. SW, identifying the driver as Christopher Martin.

During the stop, investigators observed Martin with his pants and underwear pulled down, partially exposing himself. A male sex toy and a bottle of lotion were found in plain view on the passenger seat. Martin was detained and transported to the Colquitt County Jail for further investigation.

During an interview, Martin admitted to videoing individuals at these locations. A search of his cell phone confirmed his statement. Authorities are still gathering evidence and details to determine if his actions were directed at children or solely adults, and further charges may be pursued depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.

Martin has been criminally trespassed from all Moultrie Colquitt County Parks and Recreation property and Colquitt County Board of Education property. The Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone who witnesses Martin on these properties to report the sighting immediately.

The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office commended the vigilance of the concerned citizen for reporting these incidents. The investigation remains active, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (229) 616-7430.
