Second Suspect Charged in March Sylvan Road Homicide

A second individual has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Sylvan Road SW in March, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
On Sunday, May 19, 2025, Dontavius Grier, 26, surrendered to the Fulton County Jail. Grier has been charged with Tampering with Evidence.
This arrest follows the surrender of Robert Julian, 33, on May 16, 2025, who was charged with Violations of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and Murder in the same case.
The incident under investigation occurred on March 2, 2025, at approximately 11:43 p.m., when Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded to reports of gunfire at 2001 Sylvan Road SW. Upon arrival, officers found two male victims with apparent gunshot wounds. A 26-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel, while a 33-year-old male was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Homicide Unit investigators have been working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
