Man Dead Following Domestic Shooting in Stone Mountain

The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a domestic-related incident that resulted in the death of one man on Sunday morning.
At approximately 7:50 a.m., officers assigned to the South Precinct responded to a report of a person shot in the area of Salem Drive in Stone Mountain. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male who had sustained at least one gunshot wound.
Preliminary information indicates that the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute between two individuals who knew each other. Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to the scene to conduct interviews and process evidence. The Medical Examiner’s Office was also called to the location.
Authorities have detained one male individual for questioning in connection with the incident.
