Man Stabbed in Parking Lot on Browns Bridge Road; Suspect Arrested an Hour Later at QT

A Gainesville man was arrested Saturday, May 17, 2025, in connection with a stabbing that occurred in the parking lot of adjoining businesses on Browns Bridge Road, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say the incident began shortly before 11:30 a.m., when two men became involved in a verbal dispute in the 1500 block of Browns Bridge Road. The argument escalated into a physical fight, during which the 43-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body.
After being wounded, the victim crossed the street to a nearby Subway restaurant to seek assistance. He was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where he remains hospitalized. Authorities said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Alvin Reginald Maull of Gainesville, fled the scene following the assault. Just before 12:30 p.m., Maull was located at the QT convenience store at the corner of Jesse Jewell Parkway and Queen City Parkway and taken into custody without incident.
Maull is currently charged with one felony count of aggravated assault. The investigation remains active.
