AMBER Alert Child Safely Recovered in Camden County, Suspect Arrested

An AMBER Alert issued on the evening of May 15, 2025, for a 3-year-old girl believed to be in extreme danger has been successfully resolved with the child’s safe recovery this morning.

The AMBER Alert, issued at approximately 8:32 PM, concerned a 2020-2022 white Nissan Altima. Shortly after the alert was broadcast, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office received tips indicating the child might be in their jurisdiction.

A swift and coordinated investigation was launched by the Joint Camden Action Team (JCAT), which comprises the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Kingsland Police Department, and St. Marys Police Department.

At approximately 9:30 AM on the morning of Friday, May 16, 2025, the child was safely located and recovered. Jessy Elliott was subsequently taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office stated that the case remains active and under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed their sincere gratitude to the public and their law enforcement partners for their prompt response and collaborative efforts in ensuring the safe return of the child.
