Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force Makes 61 Arrests, Seizes Millions in Drugs and Cash

A collaborative effort by law enforcement agencies in Northwest Georgia has resulted in 61 arrests of drug dealers and traffickers over the past three months. The Paulding County District Attorney’s Office, in partnership with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), City of Dallas Police Department (DPD), the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), and law enforcement partners in Polk and Haralson Counties, announced the success of the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force (NWGDTF).

During the three-month fiscal period from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025, the NWGDTF recovered and/or seized an estimated $2,873,000.00 in illegal drugs and cash proceeds from drug sales.

District Attorney Robert S. Lane expressed his gratitude to the law enforcement personnel involved, stating, “While there is much work to be done in the fight against the illegal drug trade, I am grateful to the men and women who work every day to remove drug dealers and their drugs from our community. Between the sheriff’s office, our local police departments, and the GBI, I could not ask for better partners in this effort.”

Proceeds from seized assets are utilized to fund drug use reduction programs and support law enforcement activities, helping to offset the tax burden on citizens.
