Multi-Agency Operation Breaks Up Large Street Racer Meet-Up in DeKalb County

Early Saturday morning, May 10th, a coordinated effort by multiple law enforcement agencies disrupted a large street racer meet-up at Wade Walker Park (5585 Rockbridge Rd in Stone Mountain, GA) in DeKalb County.
Responding to reports, East Morning Watch officers, under the leadership of Lt. Harris, implemented a swift and strategic plan. They blocked the park’s only exit and requested support from the North Central, Tucker, and South Precincts of the DeKalb County Police Department, as well as the Stone Mountain Police Department and the Lithonia Police Department.
The collaborative operation resulted in over 100 vehicles being stopped and 100 citations issued for being in the park after dark. Additionally, one arrest was made on an outstanding warrant, and one vehicle was impounded.
The DeKalb County Police Department commended Lt. Harris and the East Morning Watch team for their decisive action and expressed gratitude to all the agencies involved for their impressive teamwork, highlighting it as an example of how collaboration ensures safety in DeKalb County.
