Employee Arrested for Construction Site Vandalism in Toccoa

Jason Maclamar Norris of Toccoa, Georgia, was arrested on May 6th following a brief investigation into property damage at a construction site on Turnerwoods Road.

Deputies responded to the site after the construction company owner discovered damage to vehicles and machinery. It appeared that someone had fired shots and thrown rocks through the windows of the equipment.

Following a short investigation, Norris, an employee of the company, was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property in the Second Degree. K9 Yoda and his handler, Deputy Sullivan, assisted in the search for the firearm believed to be on the premises. With the help of other workers, the firearm was located and collected as evidence.

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office released a statement commending the work of their deputies, investigators, and K9 Yoda in resolving the case.
