Man Wanted for Murder in Manchester Shooting; Public Asked for Help

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Manchester Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Kimani Copeland, who is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and murder. The charges are in connection with the death of 29-year-old Shawn Jackson, Jr., of Fayetteville, GA.

The shooting that led to these charges occurred on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., in Manchester, Meriwether County, Georgia.

According to the preliminary investigation, Manchester Police officers were dispatched to a residence on Maple Street in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Shawn Jackson, Jr., who had been shot following an argument between two individuals in front of the home.

Jackson Jr. succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The  investigation is active and ongoing. Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
