14-Year-Old Detained After Gunfire Strikes Residence in Hinesville

On April 25, 2025, multiple 911 calls alerted authorities to gunfire in the 1300 block of Forest Lake Drive, prompting a rapid response from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and multiple specialized units.

Callers reported hearing several gunshots and witnessing multiple males fleeing the area, with at least one individual seen holding a handgun. One residence was struck by gunfire during the incident.

Officers from the Patrol Division, Crime Suppression Unit, Narcotics Unit, and Criminal Investigations Division responded swiftly. The scene was canvassed, witnesses were interviewed, and evidence was collected.

A 14-year-old male was identified as a person of interest, located, detained, and then transported to a regional juvenile detention facility after coordination with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
