Dispute Leads to Gunfire at Atlanta Waffle House, Off-Duty Deputy Involved

Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired at a Waffle House located at 1099 Northside Dr. NW at approximately 12:08 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a Fulton County deputy, who was working an extra job at the location, with one individual detained. Two additional individuals involved later returned to the scene and are currently being interviewed by police.

The preliminary investigation suggests that a dispute occurred at the Waffle House, which escalated and resulted in an exchange of gunfire between two parties. Two vehicles at the location sustained damage from the gunfire, but no injuries to any individuals were reported.

Investigators are actively working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
