Vidalia Mother Arrested After 4-Year-Old Overdoses on THC Gummies

On April 11, 2025, the Vidalia Police Department responded to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital following a report of a child overdose. An investigation revealed that a 4-year-old child had ingested THC gummies at their home.

As a result of the investigation, the child’s mother, 41-year-old Tiffany Martin of Vidalia, GA, was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Children (2nd Degree) and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The juvenile victim was transferred to Memorial Health Children’s Hospital in Savannah, GA, for further treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

The Vidalia Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation – Eastman Office for their prompt response and assistance in this case, reaffirming their commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of children in the community.
