Man Found Guilty of Methamphetamine Distribution in Paulding County

District Attorney Robert S. Lane has announced the conviction of Joshua Perry, 34, of the Dallas area of Paulding County, on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. The guilty verdict was reached on March 31, 2025.

The charges stemmed from a joint investigation initiated in May 2022 by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force.

The Honorable T. David Lyles sentenced Perry to a total of 15 years, with the initial 6 years to be served in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections. Following his release from prison, Perry will be subject to probation and will face restrictions associated with a felony drug offense conviction.

The case was investigated by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Jill Hartsfield, representing the Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
