Twin Brother Charged in Columbus Shooting, Victim Now Faces Drug Counts

A man who was shot last month in Columbus is now facing drug charges after narcotics were discovered in his possession while receiving treatment for his gunshot wound.

On March 24, 2025, around 4:58 p.m., Columbus Police officers responding to a gunshot and calls for help near the Public Safety Building found Royce Foster with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment. During his treatment at the hospital, narcotics were found in Foster’s possession.

On April 2, 2025, Royce Foster was transported to the Muscogee County Jail. He has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine.

Royce Foster’s twin brother, Roy Foster, was previously charged with shooting him on the day of the incident.
