Human Remains Found in Lamar County Amidst Search for Missing Barnesville Man

GBI agents are assisting the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation of the disappearance of Charles Raymond Tice, age 85, of Barnesville, Georgia, who has been missing since March 2025.

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, human remains were discovered in Lamar County during the search for Tice.

The body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for identification and to undergo an autopsy.

The investigation into this missing person case and the discovery of the remains is active and ongoing.
