Five Arrested in Kingsland Drug Bust Following Lengthy Investigation

A criminal investigation led to a major drug bust in Kingsland on Thursday, March 27, 2025, as law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a residence on 454 Springhill Road South.
Deputies with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the Joint Camden Action Team (JCAT), conducted the operation, uncovering methamphetamine, fentanyl, drug-related objects, and a firearm in the possession of a convicted felon.
As a result, five individuals were taken into custody and charged:
- Kyler Brown – Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug-Related Objects, Felony Probation Warrant
- Dustin Cross – Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug-Related Objects
- David Furmage – Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug-Related Objects
- Edward Leon Long – Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug-Related Objects, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Javan Robinson – Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug-Related Objects
Sheriff Kevin Chaney issued a warning to those involved in drug activity within the county.
“If you come to Camden County and intend to sell drugs — you better know that we will catch you, we will lock you up, and we will shut you down,” Chaney said.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office continues its efforts to remove illegal drugs and firearms from the community. Authorities stated that the case remains under investigation, and additional charges may be filed.
