Towns County Drug Investigation Leads to Arrests of Repeat Offender and Another Suspect

On March 6, 2025, the Towns County Sheriff’s Office Drug Investigators arrested two individuals following a community tip that led to a drug search at a residence on Jim Watson Drive in Hiawassee.
Authorities conducted a search warrant at the residence, where they located a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. As a result, Cody Sorensen, 39, of Hiawassee, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects.
Tiffany Nicole McNabb, 39, of Hiawassee, was also arrested at the scene. She faces charges of Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Misdemeanor Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects.
McNabb had previously been arrested on October 14, 2024, after a weeklong investigation by Towns County Sheriff’s Office investigators. She was charged with multiple felony drug offenses, including Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute. She had been out on a $50,000 bond at the time of her latest arrest.
Sheriff Ken Henderson credited the community tip and the dedication of the sheriff’s office drug agents, uniform patrol, and K-9 unit for their efforts in keeping the area safe.
