Motorcyclist Arrested After High-Speed Chase in Franklin County

On the morning of Saturday, March 8, 2025, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies patrolling Highway 106 in the Red Hill area attempted to stop a white motorcycle with no tag after receiving complaints about speeding motorcycles.

The motorcyclist failed to stop and fled onto I-85 northbound at mile marker 166. Georgia State Patrol troopers took over the pursuit at mile marker 168 as the chase continued at high speeds. The suspect exited at mile marker 173, turned onto Highway 17, and eventually drove into a driveway before fleeing on foot through a field.

Authorities apprehended Chad James Willis without further incident. He was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center.
