Three Teens Arrested in Connection to January 2025 Homicide on Hollywood Road; Two Captured in Michigan

On March 5, 2025, Tremon Palmer, 18, and Damarion Benson, 19, were taken into custody in Romeo, Michigan with assistance from the United States Marshals Service. The two men are wanted in connection with the January 17, 2025 homicide at 1097 Hollywood Road NW in Atlanta, Georgia.
Palmer faces charges including Murder, Armed Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, while Benson is charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Tampering with Evidence. The pair will be extradited to Atlanta, Georgia to face the charges.
Earlier, on March 1, 2025, Jabral Rice, 19, was found at Houston County Jail. He was also wanted for his involvement in the January 17th homicide and faces charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Tampering with Evidence. Rice will also be extradited to Atlanta.
The incident on January 17, 2025, occurred around 11:03 p.m., when officers responded to 1097 Hollywood Road NW for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with gunshot wounds lying in the parking lot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as 18-year-old Jalin “Jay” Hammons.
Authorities continue to investigate the homicide.
