Savannah Man Arrested After Shooting Incident on Waters Avenue

Mark Stewart, 45, was arrested by the Savannah Police Department in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 2nd, 2025, at the 8000 block of Waters Avenue.

At approximately 6:17 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting following an altercation between two adult males. Both victims were provided with initial medical assistance at the scene and were transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for further treatment.

Following an investigation, detectives charged Stewart with aggravated assault, cruelty to children, simple battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.
