Kingsland Man Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges After Cyber Tip Investigation

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has arrested 32-year-old Benjamin Riley Stancil of Kingsland on two counts of Felony Sexual Exploitation of Children following an extensive investigation into child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
According to CCSO, the case began on February 21, 2025, when investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit received multiple cyber tips from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Cyber Crimes Unit. The tips indicated that illicit materials had been uploaded from an IP address traced to Stancil. A forensic review of the data confirmed the presence of CSAM, prompting further investigation by law enforcement.
Detectives determined that Stancil, a resident of 127 Summerfield Drive in Kingsland, was already facing similar charges in Jacksonville, Florida. Authorities in Florida had previously charged him in an ongoing case related to online solicitation of minors.
On March 4, 2025, members of the ICAC Unit, with assistance from the Kingsland Police Department (KPD) and GBI agents, executed a search warrant at Stancil’s residence. During the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices suspected of containing additional illicit materials. Stancil was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Camden County Jail.
Sheriff Kevin Chaney addressed the arrest, stating, “The Camden County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting children from predators who seek to exploit and harm them. This case demonstrates the importance of cyber investigations and the relentless pursuit of those who engage in these heinous crimes. We will continue to work diligently with our law enforcement partners to ensure these individuals are held accountable.”
