Camilla Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children After Online Tip

Colvin Granato, 20, of Camilla, Mitchell County, Georgia, has been arrested and charged with Sexual Exploitation of Children by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

The arrest follows an investigation by the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit, which began in August 2024 after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning Granato’s online activity. The report indicated possible possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation and Granato’s arrest. He was booked into the Mitchell County Jail.

This investigation is part of the ongoing efforts of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which is housed within the GBI’s CEACC Unit. The ICAC program, supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, aims to combat the online exploitation of children
