18-Year-Old Arrested By Savannah Police in East 50th Street Shooting Incident

On February 18, 2025, at approximately 9:27 p.m., the Savannah Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of East 50th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
While still on the scene, detectives learned that 18-year-old Jemond Burke had arrived at Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound. Following an initial investigation, Burke was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
