Man Killed in Shooting Outside Sugarloaf Parkway Business; Suspect in Custody

Gwinnett County Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday afternoon in a parking lot on Sugarloaf Parkway.

Officers from the Central Precinct responded to a call around noon at 4915 Sugarloaf Parkway, where they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim and the suspect, both of whom were acquainted through their employment. The altercation was unrelated to the business at the location.

The shooter remained at the scene and was taken into custody by responding officers. Authorities do not believe any other suspects are involved. The investigation is ongoing.
