Undocumented Man Arrested in Towns County for Battery, Transferred to ICE Custody

On January 23, 2025, Towns County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on Natures Way, resulting in the arrest of Faustino Diaz-Perez, 33.
Diaz-Perez, an undocumented immigrant, was charged with misdemeanor simple battery and three counts of felony obstruction of law enforcement. Following her arrest, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was contacted, and a hold was placed on her.
On February 15, 2025, ICE agents took custody of Perez from the Towns County Detention Center for deportation.
