Security Guard Stabbed While Confronting Shoplifter at Atlanta Kroger

A security guard was stabbed while confronting a shoplifting suspect at a Kroger supermarket in the Lindbergh/Morosgo area on February 6, 2025.

Atlanta Police Zone 2 officers responded to the incident at 2452 Morosgo Way NE at approximately 5:31 p.m. Upon arrival, they located a 33-year-old male victim with a stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance in stable condition.

According to the initial investigation, the victim, working as security at the store, confronted 26-year-old Seanathon Wallace, who was shoplifting. As security officers attempted to detain Wallace, he stabbed the victim.

Responding officers took Wallace into custody without further incident. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
