Traffic Stop in East Point Leads to Two Arrests, 15 Charges, and Seizure of Drugs and Stolen Firearm

On January 27, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., East Point Police Officers Williams and Clerveaux conducted a traffic stop involving a vehicle occupied by a driver and two passengers.
During the stop, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, prompting further investigation. The search resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the filing of 15 charges.
Items seized during the investigation included marijuana, promethazine, various types of pills, and a stolen firearm from Sandy Springs equipped with an extended magazine.
