Coosa High School Student Detained After Handgun Found on Campus
On Friday afternoon, January 24, a Floyd County Police Resource Officer at Coosa High School in Rome, Georgia, acted on a tip regarding a student possessing a handgun on school property.
The officer located the student, a juvenile, and safely recovered the firearm without incident. The student was detained and has been charged in connection with the serious security breach.
